Transparency

At Twinbergs ingredients and nutritional content is important to us, that's why we are transparent with ours

Our product labelling process is guided by Regulation No 1169/2011 (read more about it here ANNEX XIII), which mandates the inclusion of all vitamins and minerals present in the product, to the best of our knowledge. This includes vitamins and minerals that fall below the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV) of 15%, which are not legally required to be included. We believe in transparency and take pride in providing our customers with as much information as possible to help them make informed choices about their health and nutrition.

Organic

At Twinbergs, we adhere to strict regulations to ensure that all vitamins in our organic nutritional yeast are naturally occurring. Since the nutritional content of molasses can vary slightly, this affects the final product. As a result, you might notice minor changes to the nutritional label about once a year.

Non-Fortified

Trace amounts of vitamins are mixed with molasses before fermentation to ensure consistent nutritional content and flavour. No vitamins or minerals are added during or after production. This step is crucial because each batch of beetroot molasses differs in nutritional value, and the process helps maintain a uniform flavour and nutrient profile. Since these vitamins are used in very small quantities, they fully integrate with nutritional yeast, making them processing aids rather than actual ingredients. This applies to 99%, if not all, of the non-fortified (non-organic) nutritional yeast available on the market.

Fortified

Vitamins B9 (Folic acid) and B12 (Cyanocobalamin) are among several added to this product. These vitamins aid the growth of the yeast and enhance its distinctive flavour, colour, and nutritional profile. The final product includes both naturally occurring and added vitamins at varying levels.
